Just got back from a great weekend at the Free Agent Academy Intensive Event in Pikes Peak National Forest! This was three days of intensive brainstorming and coaching on how to get my art biz moving forward. I have a ton of work to do but have a much clearer path now. Stay tuned to see some of the great stuff that will be coming from Fine Art Experience.

Working with Water Mixable Oil Paints

I have had a lot of questions about the paints I use so I thought I would do a short video on the subject!

Have you ever used water soluble oil paints before? Was the video informative? Let’s talk about it… Leave a comment below!

Petrarch - The Creation of the Perfect Student! Part 3

In this episode of “Petrarch - The Perfect PAideia Student” the team took all of the brainstorming ideas and pulled them together into a workable composition. There is much more planning to a portrait like this than meets the eye! There are a lot of characteristics that we have been tasked to build into this portrait and it is proving to be a challenge! But we are up to it!

If you missed the first episodes then you can catch them all at our vimeo channel. (click on image below)

This is a quick study of an empty root beer bottle. I have started trying to paint at least one painting a day. I set the timer for 30 minutes and make myself stop when it goes off. This helps me to focus on capturing the essence of the subject quickly.

This is a great discipline to get started with your own painting! As a matter of fact, we can do it together! Paint a painting a day and post a comment below with a link to your painting. I would love to see what you are doing!

How do you think painting everyday could help your results?

Hope you enjoy!
